JAMMU, Nov 17: A delegation of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan (SKJVS) Trust led by its president Mahant Rohit Shastri met Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/Secretary General Administration Department (GAD) and submitted him a memorandum.
The delegation said that for the last some years, there has been some confusion in society regarding fasts and festivals due to which people raise questions on astrology and scholars.
“To remove all such confusions, the Government should contact expert astrologers before preparing official calendar to get accurate information about fasts and festivals,” Rohit Shastri said.
He further said that if the Government publishes festival related holidays in Government calendar after looking at Panchang Diwakar, then the confusion prevailing in the society will end.
Shastri also presented book ‘Saral Sanskrit Bodh’ to Sanjeev Verma. Trustees of the Trust Deepak Gupta, Naresh Raina and others were also present on this occasion.
