Akhilesh’s 100 days is total failure- BSP

LUCKNOW, June 24: Main opposition Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) has termed the 100 days of Akhilesh Yadav government a total failure and claimed that while corruption has crossed all limits and the development works was standstill in this period.

“ The achievement of the SP government was turning the state into jungle raj by releasing all the criminals from the jails and increasing the miseries of the people in all fronts,” the BSP leaders claimed.

BSP UP president and leader of the opposition in the state assembly Swami Prasad Maurya and leader of the opposition in the state council Nasimuddin Siddique in a joint press conference here today said that parallel government is being run from different places leading to withdrawal of several decisions of the state government. “ There is a CM, a super CM and even a CM in waiting in this government leading to confusion and failures,” they said.

Mr Maurya alleged that even after transfer of over 50,000 officials in the state government, the SP government is still blaming the previous Mayawati government for all the fuss in the administration. “ Transfers has turned into an industry in the present SP government,” he claimed.

Raising the issue of power crisis and irregularities in wheat purchase, the BSP leaders said that the power situation in the state was out of control of the government besides the SP leaders, ministers and legislators have become brokers at the wheat purchasing centers.

Meanwhile Mr Siddique opposed the state government’s move to change the World Bank scheme for Bundelkhand and announced to oppose the bill in the legislative council to extend the tenure of the Lokayukta from 5 to 8 year.

“ The present government’s move to change the region in the WB scheme was unfortunate and removing the scheme from Bundelkhand area is an anti-people move,” he said while adding that the extension of the term of Lokayukta was illegal as under the rule leader of the opposition in the assembly should be consulted before taking any decision.
