5 vehicles with 48 bovines seized

UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: With the seizure of five vehicles, the police nabbed five bovine smugglers, rescued 48 cattle from their clutches in Udhampur area last night.
Official sources said that police team from Rehambal apprehended a bovine smuggler namely Abdul Hamid, son of Bashir Ahmed of Channi Himmat Jammu and rescued four bovines. In this regard case FIR No. 289/2023 U/S 188IPC stand registered at Rehambal Police Station.
In another case, a team from Police Station Udhampur apprehended one bovine smuggler along with 12 bovines loaded in a truck bearing registration No. PB13PB-0129 at Jakhani naka, Udhampur. The accused Danail Masih, son of Jagir Masih of Gurdaspur, Punjab got arrested. A case FIR No. 573/2023 U/S 188 IPC was registered in in tbnis connection.
Chenani police apprehended one bovine smuggler and rescued 26 bovines from his vehicle bearing registration No. JK02CL -1144. In this regard, case FIR No. 162/2023 U/S 188IPC stands registered at PS Chenani.
Similarly, a bovine smuggling bid was foiled by Police Station Rehambal in which four bovines were rescued and vehicle bearing registration number JK02X 3758 seized. A case FIR No. 570/2023 U/S 188IPC stands registered at Police Station Rehambal.
In yet another bovine smuggling case, two bovines were rescued from the cluthes of a smuggler namely Mohd. Akhtar, son of Mohd Farooq by the Police team of Police Station Udhampur. In this regards, a case FIR No. 570/2023 was registered.
