Preeti Khajuria listens public grievances

UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: Councilor Preeti Khajuria today visited Ward No 18 of Udhampur Municipal Council and listened to the problems of the residents there.
People in the area narrated that there are around 80 houses and facing numerous problems, particularly the unprecedented delay in construction of 3- kilometer road leading to Sharda Mata.
They informed that the Govt had sanctioned Rs 5.50 crores to PWD under NABARD scheme, which was diverted for other works. Again Rs 7 crore funds were released by the Government for Sharda Mata road but now the Forest Department is creating hurdles.
Councilor Preeti Khajuria said that Sharda Mata temple road is more important than the park and she would take up the matter before the concerned authorities. She observed that the area having around 80 houses was still lacking basic facilities.
Preeti Khajuria was accompanied by Rosie Begum, Manzoor Ahmed, Jamal Deen, Nakae Mo, Noor Mohammad, Mohammad Yusuf Ganai, Shaukat Ali, Khalil Malik, Pula Ram, Jagannath, Yasir Ahmed, Ghulam Hussain, Mohammad Aslam, Ibrahim Khan, Ashraf Khan, Shakeel Ahmed, Rafiq Ahmed, Yakub Ahmed, Mohammad Yusuf Manzoor and Ahmed Qureshi.
