SAMBA, Nov 20: A 24-year-old youth died in a road accident here today, officials said.
Ajay Kumar son of Devraj of Rakh Amb Talli, Samba, sustained injuries after the motorcycle he was riding on skidded off the road near Rakh Amb Talli in the third phase of the Industrial area of Samba, they said.
“He was taken to District Hospital Samba, where after first aid, he was referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment,” officials said, adding that the injured youth succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.
After performing the post-mortem examination at the mortuary of the GMC Jammu, the body of the deceased youth has been handed over to his family members for performing the last rites.
Meanwhile, a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered by Samba Police and further investigation is underway.
