Srinagar, Nov 21: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police today seized 3 vehicles and arrested 3 persons in Baramulla.
A police party under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg assisted by SHO seized three vehicles (Tippers) and arrested 3 persons (Drivers) at Shrai Tangmarg for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, according to police.
The accused drivers have been identified as Mohd Shafi Ganie, son of Gh Rasool Ganie resident of Reram, Ab Rashid Sheikh son of Ab Gani Sheikh resident of Hoom and Hilal Ahmad Bhat son of Asadullah Bhat resident of Atipora Kunzar.
“They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tangmarg and investigation has been taken up.
