AIMCCC organises programme on drug de-addiction at Jagti

JAMMU, Nov 21: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) organized drug de-addiction and awareness programme at Jagti Township where a large number of people participated including youth and school children. Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu K K Sidha and SP Rural , Jammu, Rahul Charak participated and addressed the gathering.
They threw light on present scenario and suggested measures to control this menace.
AIMCCC complimented Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and SP Rural Jammu for their support and keen interest in encouraging the organizers to hold the programme as the drug abuse has ruined the society and youth in particular.
Others who participated and spoke on the subject included B L. Bhat Ex MLC, A. K.Raina former Director School Education, Social activists S. L. Koul , M. L. Malla, P K Raina, P. L. Sudeshi, P L Pandita, Opinder Lidhoo, K J Tikoo, Ashok Bhat, S L Bhat, Desh Rattan Pandita, B. K. Raina, P N Jalali, Daljeet Singh, K S Bedi and Mahila Shakti team Priya Dhar, Meela Misri and Anjli Kar.
A Nukkad was held on the subject, which threw light on the ill effects of drug addiction on the society.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu, K K Sidha and SP Rural, Rahul Charak termed it a good initiative and stressed on holding such programmes in future too so that the awareness is created in the society against the drug abuse.
They asked the social organizations and NGOs to come forward to rid the society from the menace of drug abuse which is eating up the vitals of the society.
AIMCCC has proposed such programmes in future also in camps non camp areas.
