Samba police arrests most wanted heroin smuggler

SAMBA, Nov 21 : Samba police has arrested one of the most wanted heroin smuggler involved in four cases of heroin supplying and attacks on police.
He has been identified as Shamus Din, son of Maskeen Din of Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur district Samba. The arrest was made on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Benam Tosh.
The hardcore heroin smuggler has been arrested in case FIR No.132/2023 U/S 307, 382, 353, 332, 148, 149, 34 IPC of Police Station Vijaypur and has also been involved in four different cases of heroin supplying and attacks on police the cases of which registered at Police Station (PS), Vijaypur and PS Samba. FIR No.33/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of PS Vijaypur, 108/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of PS Vijaypur, FIR No. 23/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of PS Vijaypur and FIR No. 184/2023 U/S 307, 341, 353, 332, 382, 147, 148 IPC of PS Samba.
The arrest has been made by police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Sandeep Charak and PSI Ankush Sharma under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur, Rahul Kumar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that Shamusdin’s arrest is a big blow to heroin smugglers. Police is chasing the wanted heroin smugglers and arresting them one after the other with a view to wipe-out drug menace from Samba soil completely.
