Display Your Talent at JU: Mime, Mimicry & Skit competitions held

JAMMU, Nov 22: In ‘Display Your Talent-2023’organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, competitions of Mime, Mimicry and Skit were conducted today at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
In Mime, the Certificate of Merit was awarded to the team of GCW Udhampur while in Mimicry, Certificate of Merit was awarded to Kanchan Jamwal from GCW Udhampur.
Rakesh Sharma was the Teacher Incharge and Digvijay Singh and Chakresh Kumar were the adjudicators of the event.
In Skit, the First position was secured by GDC Akhnoor while The Business School, JU got the Second position and the team of GCW, Udhampur stood Third.
In the Individual category, Smriti Sharma from GDC Ramnagar and Mohit Sharma from GDC Akhnoor were declared Best Actors. Certificates of Merit in Individual Category were awarded to Ishvin Gupta from The Business School, JU and Amandeep from Udhampur Campus, JU. Vijay Atri, Sanjeev Gupta and Chakresh Kumar were the Judges and Dr Harleen Kour was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
The events of DSW are conceived, planned and organised by the team consisting of Prof Prakash Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof Monika Chadha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof Sarika Manhas (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Dr Pritam Singh (Associate Dean SW), Dr Garima Gupta (Assistant Dean, SW), Dr Shallu Sharma & Dr A R Manhas (Deputy Proctors), members of Campus Cultural Committee, Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer).
The events were witnessed by the members of Campus Cultural Committee, teachers, students, scholars of the University of Jammu and prominent members of the civil society.
The events were managed by Mohneesh, Urvashi, Idrees Fahali, Kanya Sharma, Angraz Singh, Suriya Banoo, Rishika Sharma, Bipasha Raina, Neghit Mir (Cultural Representatives), Balwant Slathia, Sachin Sharma, R P Singh. The sound was looked after by Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul.
On 23rd November, the events of Photography and Installation would be conducted from 10 am onwards at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
