RAMBAN, Nov 22: Police here today arrested two absconders wherein one was evading arrest for 20 years and the other for 13 years.
SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma constituted police teams to arrest the absconders and against them General Warrants of Arrest were also issued by the Court.
Police party of Police Station Gool under the guidance of SHO Police Station Gool, Inspector Firdous Ahmed apprehended the absconder Ghulam Mohd, son of Ghulam Ahmed, resident of Kadapura, District Anantnag, wanted in a case registered in FIR No. 19 of 1999 under sections 406 RPC of Police Station Gool.
A General Warrant of arrest was issued by the Court under sections 512 CrPc vide order dated 20.10.2003 against Ghulam Mohd.
The police party of Police Station Ramban under the guidance of SHO Police Station Ramban Inspector, Nayeem Mattoo apprehended the absconder Hilal Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid Mirza, resident of Largam, Tehsil Aribal, District Pulwama wanted in case FIR No. 5 of 2009 under sections 279/304-A RPC of Police Station Ramban.
A General Warrant of arrest was issued by the Court under section 512 CrPC vide order dated 15.12.2010 against Hilal.
Both the absconders were arrested by Police teams of Police Station Gool and Ramban and produced before the Court of law under the supervision of Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool; Om Parkash, DySP Headquarters Ramban; Gaurav Mahajan, Additional SP Ramban and under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
