JAMMU, Nov 23: To discuss the burning issue of land delineation under ‘Gair Mumkin Khad’ Gaurav Gupta, former General Secretary of the Jammu Chamber, met with Administrative Secretary of the Revenue Department, Dr Piyush Singla here today.
During the meeting, Gupta highlighted the need for a prompt and effective resolution to protect the rights of individuals and communities affected by the inaccurate land status and emphasized the urgency of the matter and the need for a transparent and expeditious process.
Giving a patient hearing, the Administrative Secretary Dr Singla showed a positive approach and provided a detailed overview of the ongoing efforts to address this complex issue.
Singla emphasized the importance of patience and understanding from the public, stating that the government’s team of employees is working diligently to resolve the issue.
He explained that the process is technically intricate and time-consuming, requiring thorough hydrologically mapping and data compilation from all relevant sectors.
Reiterating the Government’s commitment to resolving the issue, Singla stressed that the Divisional Commissioner Jammu is also actively involved in the process and is taking regular meetings to address the issue.
He further assured that this issue will be resolved soon area-wise so that the people having land under the aforesaid category may not face any inconvenience in near future.
Gupta appreciated the efforts of Adm Secretary for giving a detailed overview of government’s commitment to addressing the land delineation issue and ensuring the rights of affected individuals and communities.
