RAMBAN, Nov 24: Police here today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the forest area of Sarniyal in Tehsil Khari.
Sources informed that through reliable sources police got information regarding the presence of huge cache of arms and ammunition in the forest area of Sarniyal, Tehsil Khari.
On the receipt of this information a Police party from Police Post Khari and the personnel from 23 RR rushed to the spot and after intense search recovered 113 cartridges of 7.62 mm, 3 AK 47 Mag, 7 Sniper Cart of 7.62 mm, 5 PIKA rounds, 2 cartridges of 9 mm, 3 Chinese grenades, 1 Pak grenade, 2 UBGL, 2 detonators, 2 fuses, 1 FM transceiver (radio set), 1 PIKA belt and 300 gm explosive.
Police has started investigation in the case.
