JAMMU, Nov 24: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre has initiated a volley of initiatives for all sections of society irrespective of the caste, colour and creed.
He expressed this in his address during a public meeting organized at Gujjar Nagar here, today. Parveen Kerni, Mandal president Jammu East, Anil Angral, spokesperson BJP Jammu district, Arun Sethi, general secretary, East Mandal, Rakesh Jandial, Brijesh Gupta, Rajesh Nischal, Vijay Mahajan, Ex corporator, Sanjay Mahe, Majid Khan were present and extended their full support in making this programme successful.
While speaking on the occasion, the senior BJP leader said that successive governments in the erstwhile State of J&K failed to take pro-people initiatives and it was only during the short tenure of less than ten years till date that major issues confronting them were resolved at the earliest.
Sethi asserted that as of today Government has made possible the road connectivity and bridges, drinking water facility, electricity and last but not the least the educational facilities by establishing schools especially for the nomads. He said that it is the BJP Government that provided the facility of transportation of Nomadic Gujjars and their livestock during their movement from plains to hilly areas in Summer season and vice-versa thus providing a great relief to the members of this community.
Yudhvir Sethi also highlighted that the BJP Government at the Centre also got constructed so many bunkers along the border areas where Gujjars stay which can be used by the people during cross border firing.
Anil Angral, while enumerating a number of initiatives of BJP Government, hoped that people of all sections of society will support the Government at the Centre in the upcoming elections as they realize the party’s dedication towards addressing their issues and ensuring a hassle free and peaceful environment besides raising their living standard.
