RAMBAN, Nov 24: Police here today arrested an absconder who was wanted in two FIRs.
SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma has constituted special police teams to arrest the absconders who were evading arrests and against whom General Warrants of Arrest have been issued by the Court.
The police party of Police Station Ramban under the guidance of SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Nayeem Mattoo apprehended an absconder Afzal Ahmed, son of Iftikhar Ahmed Khatana, resident of Jasrota, District Kathua.
He was wanted in cases registered in FIRs No.105/2022 and 106/2022 both under sections 188 RPC and 11 PC Act at Police Station Ramban.
Two Warrants of Arrest were issued by the Court Under Sections 299 Cr.PC against him.
The absconder was arrested by a Police team of Police Station Ramban and was produced before the Court of law under the supervision of Om Parkash, Dy.SP Headquarters, Ramban; Gaurav Mahajan, Additional SP Ramban and under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
