DC Srinagar holds meeting with members of Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: A delegation of Srinagar Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) today met Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in his office chamber to discuss the arrangements for Prakash Utsav marking the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji being celebrated on November 27, 2023.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed appraisal about the arrangements to be made by different Departments for smooth observance of Prakash Utsav celebrations in the District.
Members of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee who were present in the meeting briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the requirements for the occasion.
They sought adequate arrangements for ensuring proper transport and parking facilities for devotees, proper traffic and security management, adequate sanitation and cleanliness measures in and around Gurdawaras particularly at Gurdawa Chattipadsahi Rainawari, besides making arrangements for uninterrupted power and water supplies.
During the meeting, the DC issued directions to the concerned Officers in presence of GPC members to ensure that all kinds of facilities are made available on the auspicious occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Shabir Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Ahmad Kataria, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Tehsildar Headquarter, Imtiyaz Amin Naik and Officers of other concerned Departments were present in the meeting. While the delegation comprising of SGPC president, Jaspal Singh, Secretary Ranjit Singh, Treasurer Gurmeet Singh and Bopinder Singh were also the part of the meeting.
