JAMMU, Jan 21: The State Government has formulated a preliminary project report for upgradation of newly National Highway Kargil-Zanskar road at an estimated cost of Rs 1015.26 crores.
Ministry of Road Transport and Highway, GOI, vide their notification no: 2409(E) has declared Kargil-Zanskar road as National highway 301.
In this regard, Punchok Tashi nominated Councilor (former EC) and Tsering Angdus Council Zanskar today called Director Planning PWD (R&D) Tariq Ahmad and discussed in length about the progress of up gradation case of Kargil-Zanskar road.
Commissioner Secretary to Government PWD (R&B) J&K today forwarded preliminary Project report of Kargil-Zanskar road on behalf of J&K Government to Secretary Ministry of Government of India for further approval.
