BHADERWAH, Nov 27: Residents of Bhaderwah Town in Doda District are facing frequent power outages, resulting in problems to the students and households.
The Power Development Department (PDD) is being criticized for not addressing the issue, despite assurances of uninterrupted power in Jammu and Kashmir.
The locals claimed that Bhaderwah experiences unscheduled power cuts during the night hours, making it difficult for the students to study. Despite complaints to authorities, including the PDD Department, they said, there has been no resolution.
The problem extends to other parts of Doda as well, with hilly areas in particular the worst-affected.
One Pushpinder Goswami from Mohalla Yogi said, “despite promises from PDD, our area has been witnessing frequent power disruptions, affecting the performance of students.”
“Repeated appeals to the administration and the Executive Engineer of the PDD have not yielded any results,” he said. He appealed the administration to look into the matter urgently.
