Samba police seizes 8 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, Nov 27: Continuing vigorous drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has seized eight more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station (PS), Samba, Daljit Singh, SHO PS, Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma and SHO PS, Vijaypur Sandeep Charak under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Samba, Bisham Dubey, SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized eight more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included six dumpers bearing Registration NosJK21G-7098, JK21E-9998, JK21D-1898, JK21F-7667, JK21J-1079 & JK02DB-2425 and two tractors bearing Registration Nos JK21F-4777& JK21G-5583.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 222 vehicles have been seized in past ten months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive. Police would not allow illegal mining in Samba district and would take yet more stringent action against mining mafia in Samba district, if illegal mining not stopped.
