DGP sanctions Rs 3.64 cr special welfare relief

JAMMU, Nov 28: Director General of Police (DGP), J&K, RR Swain, today sanctioned a special welfare relief of Rs 3.64 crore in favour of Next of the Kin (NoK) of the 15 police personnel/SPOs who have either attained martyrdom or have passed in the line of duty.
As per a statement, a special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of martyrs DySP Himayun Muzzamil Bhat, Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad and Head Constable Fayaz Ahmed.
Besides, a special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of dependents and legal heirs of the deceased police personnel SI Dharam Paul, ASIs Nisar Ahmad, Mahesh Chander, Mohammad Rafiq, Head Constables Sita Ram, Mohammad Maqbool, Saleem Khan, Selection Grade Constables Mohammad Sadiq, Abdul Hamid, Manoj Kumar, Constables Mohammad Younus, Anshu Sharma, and follower Mohammad Maqbaoo.
An amount of Rs 1 lakh each has already been paid to the Next of the Kin of the martyr/deceased police personnel for performing their last rites.
Meanwhile, the DGP has also sanctioned Rs 6 lakh as special welfare relief in favour of the NoK of the deceased SPOs Ghulam Mohammad Teli and Ghulam Mohammad who passed away during the course of their engagement in the Department. Rs 50000 each has been already given to their families for performing their last rites.
