JAMMU, Jan 21: Two-day awareness programme on investor visa concluded in the premises of Hotel Jehlum Resorts today.
In the programme, Avinash Nichkawde, an Australian citizen made a presentation before audience comprising of businessmen, industrialists and investors of the town.
During the presentation, the avenues available under the investor visa (EB5) programme of the United States of America were highlighted. Under this programme, a person has to make an investment of $ 500,000 in the US (returnable after five years with 1.5 per cent interest per annum) which entitles the person, his wife and his children (below 21 years) to become eligible for EB5 Visa under which the person and his family get Green Card and are free to work in any part of the USA and enjoy all the Government benefits available to the permanent residents of the US.
The person having this visa does not need to have knowledge of a particular language, management or business experience. There is neither any age limit for him, nor any strict networth requirement. The usual time frame for acquiring Green Card under this scheme is around nine to twelve months. The person is free to live in any city of the USA, and to have any legal occupation like any other permanent resident of the USA.
The presentation was followed by one to one interactions during which the members of the audience showed keen interest in the details of the programme.
The awareness programme was organised by HS Kukreja of Kukreja Travels and Rachna Sharma.
