Crucial RSS, BJP meetings today, tomorrow

JAMMU, Nov 29: Senior RSS and BJP leaders are attending crucial meetings here tomorrow and day after tomorrow to deliberate on varied issues including prevailing situation in UT of J&K, the preparations for year long centenary celebrations of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) falling in 2025 and strategy to be adopted for next year Lok Sabha elections in the UT.
According to sources, the senior BJP leaders from Delhi including Party’s organisational general secretary, B L Santosh, general secretary, Tarun Chugh who is also Incharge J&K and Ladakh UTs, co-Incharge, J&K Ashish Sood and RSS senior leader and think tank, Arun Kumar will participate in the meetings.
The RSS meeting (Samanvaih) will be held here tomorrow which will be attended by its national joint general secretary (Seh Sarkarivah), Arun Kumar. Besides, him national BJP leaders including BL Santosh, Tarun Chugh and Ashish Sood will attend this meeting, sources added.
Sources said senior BJP leaders from J&K are also attending tomorrow’s Sangh meeting. They included party president Ravinder Raina, general secretary, (Org) Ashok Koul, general secretaries, Dr D K Manyal, Sunil Sharma and Vibodh Gupta besides, other senior leaders including national secretary, Dr Narinder Singh.
Sources said B L Santosh will reach here tomorrow while Tarun Chugh was expected to reach by train in the night and Ashish Sood has reached here this afternoon.
The BJP leaders besides attending the meeting convened by RSS tomorrow will participate in Party’s Core Group and office bearers meeting on December 1 which will be followed by another meeting with Incharges of ‘Booth Samparak Abhiyan’ and key speakers of the Booth Samparak Abhiyan.
Both these meetings will also be attended by Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, MP (LS) Jugal Kishore Sharma and MP (RS) Gulam Ali Khatana.
Sources said eyeing all five Lok Sabha seats in J&K BJP is concentrating on key voters and party is involving youth. Speakers in ‘Booth Jansampark Abhiyan’ will apprise people about the benefits of public welfare schemes launched by PM, Narendra Modi during over last nine years of his rule.
Sources said BJP will give thrust to two Lok Sabha seats of Jammu region besides, Anantnag, Rajouri seat to ensure party’s victory on all three seats. It is also intending to give a resounding fight in other two Lok Sabha seats of Srinagar and Baramulla.
When contacted BJP co-Incharge J&K Ashish Sood said that BJP has already devised poll strategy and booth Jansamparak Abhiyan is part of that. He said party is confident to win all five Lok Sabha seats in J&K as we have taken many public welfare decisions for the people of UT. “We launched housing schemes for poor people in Kashmir valley also and did not make any discrimination while enforcing welfare schemes on basis of religion and the region. In Kashmir lakes were cleaned and tourism was given boost with the result record number of tourists visited Valley during last two years, “Sood added.
He also made a dig at Opposition parties including NC, PDP and Congress saying they have been rejected by the people and hence are making provocative statements out of frustration.
“It is unfortunate that instead of condemning the SKUAST students action, they are defending them. They want to scare people especially Kashmiri Pandits so that they can’t return Kashmir,” he added.
Tomorrow’s Sangh meeting besides Pracharaks will be attended by office bearers of its all sister organisations, sources said.
