DGP sanctions meritorious scholarship

JAMMU, Nov 29: Director General of Police, J&K, RR Swain, today sanctioned a meritorious scholarship of Rs 19.62 lakh in favour of 290 wards of the serving police personnel.
As per a statement, a scholarship of Rs 3, 15,000 has been sanctioned in favour of 31 wards of serving police personnel for securing 80% and above marks in the annual examination of Graduation and Post Graduation during the academic session 2022-23.
Further, Rs 18000 has been sanctioned to a ward for securing 94.5% marks in MBA while 12000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 12 wards for securing over 80% marks in different PG examinations.
Similarly, Rs 8500 each has been sanctioned in favour of 18 wards for securing over 80% marks in different Graduation examination.
Besides, a scholarship amount of Rs 16, 47,000 has been sanctioned in favour of 259 wards of serving police personnel for securing above 80% marks in the annual examination of class 12 during the academic session 2022-23.
An amount of Rs 7200 each has also been sanctioned in favour of 78 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 90% and above marks in the annual examination of class 12th during academic session 2022-23 while Rs 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 181 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80%-90% marks in the annual examination.
