JAMMU, Nov 29: Ladakh Jammu & Kashmir Economic Growth and Development Dialogue (LEAD) is organising two days grand Mahotsav (festival) at Gulshan Ground, Police Lines, Gandhi Nagar, here on December 9 and10 which will be a grand celebration of Swadeshi, Swawlambhan & Sanskriti in Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh.
This two-day extravaganza aims to showcase rich diversity of Swadeshi products, foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and celebrate the rich culture & heritage of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh UTs.
This was disclosed by Director of LEAD Sunil Shah, Member LEAD Rajesh Gupta and Media Incharge Sanjeev Sharma at a press conference here this morning.
Sunil Shah said that the event will feature a diverse range of stalls exhibiting local products, cuisines, handicrafts, startup ventures, cultural exhibitions and also highlighting new tourist destinations. He said that The Mahotsav will have more than 100 stalls showcasing indigenous products and services with anticipated footfall of thousands of people.
Rajesh Gupta, Member LEAD elaborated that embracing the theme of Swadeshi, Swawlambhan & Sanskriti, Mahotsav 2023 stands as a vibrant testament to celebrating local excellence and preserving cultural heritage. He said that such kind of extraordinary event serves as a pivotal platform, endorsing and empowering local businesses in alignment with the ideologies of Vocal for Local and Make in India. Simultaneously, the Mahotsav endeavours to foster ‘Swawlambhan,’ reflecting its alignment with Startup India, nurturing entrepreneurship, and instilling a sense of self-reliance within the youth and the community.
Sanjeev Sharma media incharge LEAD explained that LEAD has decided to organise the ‘Mahotsav 2023′ and make the event their annual feature with a vision to create a platform to unlock the immense potential of local offerings, encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and foster a profound sense of unity and pride among people of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh. LEAD is a platform, first of its kind, a Citizens’ initiative of like-minded individuals and professionals working towards sustainable development of the Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir. This event is a testament of LEAD’s commitment to promote economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
