Attack on police team

SAMBA, Dec 2 : Samba police has arrested wife of hardcore heroin smuggler, “Kala” of Rakh Barotian Vijaypur, for attacking police near infamous Chitta hotspot of Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur in April this year.
Police said on April 6, a team of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur while performing duty near Rakh Barotian was attacked by a group of heroin smugglers and suppliers and their kith and kin including wife of one of the most wanted heroin smugglers Massom Ali alias Kala, due to which some police personnel had sustained severe head and bodily injuries and a case FIR No. 38/2023 U/S 307/382/353/336/332/147/148 IPC was registered at Police Station, Vijaypur and investigation was started.
Police said this is the 9th accused arrested by Samba police in that attack on police. Earlier, police had arrested eight accused and had conducted their custodial interrogation.
The arrest has been made by a police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Sandeep Charak under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police is continuously conducting raids at the suspected hideouts of the accused involved in attacks on police and all the accused would be behind bars at the earliest.
