PNBMT to formulate joint response on KPs issues

JAMMU, Dec 3: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) organised a meeting of the heads of various KP organisations, social groups and prominent community persons here, today to elicit the opinion and formulate a joint response to some of the pressing issues afflicting the community. The meeting was also important in view of the Chetna Diwas ahead.
It was chaired by Prof.P.N.Trisal and those who attended included Justice B.L.Bhat, B.L.Saraf, Swamy Kumar Ji, M.K.Yogi, Prof. A. N Sadhu, P.N.Goja, Chand Ji Bhat, Brij Lal Bhat, Kuldeep Raina, M.K.Jalali, M.M.Thaploo, Sundri Lal Koul, Satish Kissu, Virender Rawal, H.L.Bhat, A.K.Raina, B.L.Zar, C.L.Pandita, Shadi Lal Koul, Dr Susheel Wattal and Dr.Ramesh Bhat among others.

BJP leader and leading community activist, H.L.Bhat conducted the proceedings and gave an overview of the life and times of Pt.Prem Nath Bhat and how his sacrifice awakened the community and how we need to rekindle that spirit to ameliorate the sufferings of the community.
Prof.P.N.Trisal said that the issue of the Temples & Shrines Bill has bedevilled the community for long and the time has come to get the bill passed in a time bound manner. He said that community must demonstrate its strength on the occasion of Chetna Diwas.
Justice B.L.Bhat said that the community seems to have been cast away and made to fend for itself. He said that we need to create pressure points in order to make things happen. He added that the KP community has tremendous strengths and it needs to leverage those.
Kuldeep Raina raised the issue of the Distress Sale Act and said that the law is not being followed in letter and spirit.
Kashmiri Lal expressed serious concern regarding the illegal changes being made by way of farcical settlements in the status of the lands of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley. He said this issues will be raised on Chetna Diwas function on December 27.
Prof.Sadhu, P N Goja, Swamy Kumar Ji, Chand Ji Bhat and M.K.Yogi also spoke on the occasion.
Chairman of the trust Roshan Lal Pandita presented the vote of thanks.
