JAMMU, Dec 3: In a matter of immense pride, the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism has been awarded with the prestigious “Family Holiday Destination Award” at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) event held at Hyderabad.
As per a statement, Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Director Tourism, Publicity, received the award on behalf of Dr Syed Abid Rasheed, Secretary Tourism Jammu and Kashmir.
In a compelling destination presentation, Jabbar received a positive response, outlining the diverse attractions of Jammu and Kashmir. During the ensuing question-answer session, he adeptly addressed queries from engaged attendees.
During media interactions, Jabbar underscored the remarkable progress of J&K Tourism under Secretary Tourism Dr Syed Abid Rasheed’s visionary leadership.
He highlighted a significant increase in tourist footfall, both local and foreign and emphasized the identification of 75 new offbeat destinations. Jabbar outlined focused efforts to promote these unique locations, along with the potential of MICE tourism in J&K.
Reiterating the commitment to sustainable tourism practices and film tourism, Jabbar extended a warm invitation to explore the serene beauty of Jammu and Kashmir.
He invited everyone to partake in exciting winter sports activities, capping off an eventful and successful presence at IITM Hyderabad.
The J&K Tourism Stall held at the IITM Hyderabad from December 1 to December 3, 2023 also emerged as a centre of attraction, drawing attention from the attendees.
