JAMMU, Dec 4: High Court today issued notice to former Minister and Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) supremo Ch Lal Singh in an appeal filed by Enforcement Directorate against the order of trial court whereby interim bail was granted.
During the course of hearing DSGI Vishal Sharma submitted that since the matter involves consideration of bail application only pending investigation by the Enforcement Directorate, in as much as this court as well as the court of Special Judge Anticorruption, CBI Cases, Jammu have been designated as Special Courts under PMLA, thus, have jurisdiction to consider cases arising thereto.
“However, the instant case is not related to taking of cognizance of the offences under PMLA, because complaint is yet to be filed”, he further submitted.
After hearing DSGI Vishal Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal issued notice to former Minister and Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) supremo Lal Singh and ordered that any order passed by the trial court shall be subject to final outcome of petition.
