JKTJAC deputation meets DSEJ, raises burning issues of teachers

JAMMU, Dec 4: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, called on (DSEJ) Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma in his office chamber, here today and submitted him a memorandum highlighting issues of the teaching fraternity.
JKTJAC demanded conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III by arranging a divisional level committee meeting so that eligible RRETs get their salaries; regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate; release of more than two years salary in favour of RRETs who have not been converted to Teachers’ Grade II/ III due to various reasons; conversion of EVs to ReTs; providing enrollment/post facto permission in favour of teachers who are pursuing or have persued higher qualifications; resumption of mutual transfer cases of teachers Grade II/III and provision of earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/winter vacation for summer/winter camps and for other duties.
The Director listened to the deputation quite patiently and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC leadership. He also said that divisional level committee meeting for conversion will be held every Monday till the process is completed. He also assured to issue DPC list within days and simultaneously regularisation of eligible ReTs at the earliest.
