JAMMU, Dec 4: To observe Gita Jayanti, there will be collective chanting of Gita Shloka (verse) on December 23 at 11:00 am to create a powerful resonance of unity, peace, and shared understanding.
This was informed by Gita Manishi, Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj, while addressing a press conference along with President of Santan Dharam Sabha, Parshotam Dadhichi and GIEO Member Gita, Chetan Wanchoo.
Swami Gyananand said that such initiatives contribute to a more compassionate and connected global community. He emphasized that the universal celebration of Gita Jayanti on 23rd December, will resonate across the world. To foster a sense of global solidarity, he proposed a collective initiative where people worldwide will join together to recite one Shloka at precisely 11:00 am on Gita Jayanti.
“This initiative aims to bring people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs together, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries,” said the Swami highlighting the profound wisdom encapsulated in the Bhagavad Gita and its potential to inspire and guide individuals towards a more harmonious and purposeful life.
President Santan Dharam Sabha, Parshotam Dadhichi expressed his support for this initiative, emphasizing the importance of spiritual values in promoting peace and understanding among communities.
GIEO Member Gita Chetan Wanchoo echoed the sentiment, stating that the Gita’s teachings are timeless and hold relevance for people from all walks of life.
