Man charge-sheeted for cheating on pretext of arranging Govt job

JAMMU, Dec 4: Economic Offences Wing – Crime Branch Jammu has produced charge-sheet against retired Principal of a private school for cheating on the pretext of arranging Government job under SRO-43.
Charge-sheet against accused Davindra Singh Soodan, son of Keher Singh, resident of Ward number 14, near Rattan Palace Kathua (the then Principal, Higher Secondary School Panorma in District Rajouri), has been produced in the Court of law for judicial determination in case FIR number 78/2023, Under Section 420/IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu.
The case stems its origin from a written complaint lodged by Ghulam Sadeeq of Darhal Rajouri, whose daughters were studying in Panorma Private Academy in Rajouri in the year 2016 where accused Davinder Singh was the Principal.
During a meeting with the accused, the complainant told him that his wife was a Govt teacher who had expired long back and he was trying to get his daughter absorbed as Govt employee in place of his wife under SRO 43. The accused told him that he would process her case for which money was needed.
Complainant was assured that he would get the appointment done. In order to get the job for his daughter under SRO 43, the complainant paid Rs 1,54,000/- to the accused. Thereafter accused Davindra Singh Soodan left without arranging job in favour of complainants daughter nor did he return money thus cheated the complainant deliberately and intentionally. During probe, the allegations were substantiated, leading to the registration of formal case.
