Guv to address Legislature on Feb 10

JAMMU, Jan 23: Governor N N Vohra has summoned the State Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council to meet at Jammu on February 10 at 10.30 a.m.
The Governor has called upon the Members of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council to assemble together in the Central Hall of the Legislature Building in the New Secretariat premises  to hear his Address to both the Houses of the Legislature.
After the Address, each House of the Legislature will meet as a separate body at the time specified by the respective Presiding Officers.
The Governor approved the State Government’s proposal in regard to this matter today.
Secretary Assembly Mohammad Ramzan has urged all Members of the Legislative Assembly to send not more than 10 starred and 10 un- starred questions in relaxation of Rule 32 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly by or  before January 28.
The Members have been further requested not to send more than 5 bills in relaxation of sub rule (3) of Rule 65 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly by or before January 28.
The Legislators have also been requested not to send more than four Resolutions in relaxation of Rule 174 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly by or before January 28.
