Theft case worked out

JAMMU, Dec 5: Police in Gangyal area here claimed they have solved a theft case by recovering the stolen amount of Rs 3.16 lakh and a camera from the possession of three people arrested today.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Station Gangyal regarding the theft of cash and camera from a paint factory.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 111/2023 under sections 457/380/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation taken up.
During investigation, special teams of Police Station Gangyal led by SDPO South, Sachit Sharma, assisted by SHO Gangyal, Inspector Jaswinder Singh rounded up three suspects, he said. They were identified as Bablu Mandal of Bihar at present Digiana, Jammu, Azad of Narela, Delhi at present Trikuta Nagar Jammu, and Rohit Kumar of Bihar at present Shiva Chowk, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
On questioning, the suspected persons confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen amount of Rs 3.16 lakh and a camera was recovered from their possession.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
Pertinently, the overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
