RAJOURI, Dec 5: Taking strict action against the traffic violators, the police seized four vehicles and challaned 70 in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that the police took action against the violators of traffic rules by setting up special nakas at different locations in Rajouri. The cops took strict action against overloading and those driving without helmet and without documents.
SHO Rajouri Inspector Aejaz Wani said that police is taking action against those who are violating traffic rules by setting up special nakas. He said efforts are being made to reduce overloading in the area and reduce chances of accidents. Many people are running away from the spot after seeing the police naka but the police are sending challans to homes on the basis of their vehicle numbers.
He said the details of those who fled the spot are being prepared and soon the challans will reach their homes. He disclosed that 70 vehicles were challaned for violating the rules while four others were seized.
