Rohit Shastri meets Div Com to discuss issues concerning Sanskrit language

JAMMU, Dec 6: President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evam Vedic Sansthan Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri (Jyotishacharya) met Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, here today and discussed issues pertaining to promotion, propagation and preservation of Sanskrit language in J&K, besides welfare of Sanskrit students and scholars.
During the meeting, Rohit Shastri said that Sanskrit carries with it the concept of Akhand Bharat and the thread ensuring the unity in diversity that underpins the unique Indian civilization and culture. He said that his trust is committed to preservation and promotion of the glorious legacy of Ancient Indian wisdom and knowledge system as enshrined in the Sanskrit language and literature.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar appreciated the work being done by the Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evam Vedic Sansthan Trust and assured Rohit Shastri of every support to the Trust on his part for the promotion and propagation of Sanskrit language.
On the occasion, Shastri presented annual patrika ‘Kartavya Marg’ to the Divisional Commissioner. Trustee Jagdev Singh Chib was also present on the occasion.
