NEW DELHI, Dec 8: BJP MP Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana met Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah and discussed various issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir including security situation, providing jobs to the unemployed youth, resolving issues of Sakshar Bharat, compilers in Finance Department and others.
Khatana apprised the Home Minister about the security scenario and praised security forces for maintaining dominance in UT of Jammu and Kashmir and foiling nefarious plans of terrorists.
He said that Army and J&K Police are on high alert and terrorists are finding it difficult to operate. He stressed the need for further strengthening the security grid in border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
He stressed the need for providing employment opportunities to the unemployed youth and a decisive action against the drug mafia in the Union Territory. Amit Shah assured to redress the issues raised by the MP on priority.
Khatana also impressed upon the Home Minister to resolve the issues of Sakshar Bharat employees, ousted DRDO employees, compilers in Finance Department and others.
