JAMMU, Dec 8: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta said that NC was committed to steer J&K to new era of peace and development
They further said that NC is natural destination for all those public spirited political activists, who want to work for political stability, unity between various religions and regions and for peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said this while welcoming Er Sparsh Parihar and Avnish Sharma, young social activists, and Nanak Chand in the party fold during a joining programme, organized by Qazi Jalal Ud Din, Ex-MLA.
Ajay Sadhotra said that joining of youth leaders reflects the growing realization among the people that National Conference is the only party that can uphold their dignity and steer J&K to a new era of peace, progress and development.
Rattan Lal Gupta expressed the hope that with their joining, National Conference will be further strengthened at the grass roots level and help in serving the people of remote and far off areas like Chenab Valley. “History stands testimony to the crucial role of National Conference in forging unity and amity between various segments of the society in the regions of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said and hoped that the cadre will bequeath this spirit to posterity. He said communal amity has been the richest legacy of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, who strived all his life to sustain this glorious tradition of the State.
Present on the occasion included: Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary; Raghbir Singh Manhas, District President Jammu Rural A; Zaffarullah Rather, District President Doda; Shahan Kichloo, Media Analyst; Master Aslam, Randhir Singh Chib and others.
