UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: Udhampur Police arrested a youth for circulating morphed photographs of a girl on social media.

According to the police, a written complaint was lodged by the victim at Police Station Udhampur stating that some unknown person had created a fake Instagram account, posted her morphed photos and was demanding physical favour from the complainant.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, Police registered a case FIR No. 348/2023, Under Section 354-A IPC, 66-E 67-A IT Act and started investigation into the matter. Acting swiftly and collecting all technical/IT evidences, Police arrested the accused, who was identified as Nigam Singh, son of Amar Singh, resident of village Palli, Tehsil and District Ramban.
Further investigation into the case was going on.
