JAMMU, Dec 8: Employees Joint Action Committee (R) in its monthly meeting held here today discussed various issues concerning the employees.
Babu Hussain Malik (State president, EJAC) presided over the meeting. While discussing various issues of the employees, Malik stressed upon the newly appointed Chief Secretary of the UT, Atal Dulloo for timely DPC/promotion of employees in all the departments and fixation of seniority for all the cadres (lower to upper).
Dr Surinder Radotra (State vice president, EJAC) appealed the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary to release the pending DA due from July 2023, enhance medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, scrap New Pension Scheme and restore Old Pension Scheme, and speed up pending SRO 43 cases.
General secretary of the Committee, Muzaffer Nabi demanded regularization of daily wagers of J&K and raise their minimum wages under Wages Act before regularization. He also demanded regularization of Home Guards.
Employee Joint Action Committee pinned the hope that the Chief Secretary will look into the matter on urgent basis and will lessen the burden of UT employees.
