JAMMU, Dec 8: Directorate of School Education Jammu has ordered winter vacations in all the Government as well as recognized private schools in winter zone areas of Jammu Division.
According to an order in this regard, the schools up to 8th standard will observe winter vacations from December 11, 2023 to February 29, 2024 while the vacation period for the students from 9th to 12th standard shall be from December 18, 2023 to February 29, 2024.
The order further read that the Chief Education Officers shall ensure online classes for class 10th and 12th through CRCs and the teachers shall remain available on demand for any online guidance of students during the vacation period.
The teaching staff shall report back to their respective schools on February 21, 2024 so that they may remain available for making arrangements regarding preparation of ensuing examinations.
The Directorate has warned that any default on part of the Head of the School/Teaching staff in observance of the vacation schedule shall attract strict action under rule.
