Modi govt is committed to welfare of every citizen: Union Minister Mandaviya

PATAIALA, Dec 9: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Saturday said the Modi government is committed to the welfare of every citizen of the country.
The Union minister visited Patiala’s Dakala area to interact with the beneficiaries of the Central Government’s flagship ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ campaign. He was accompanied by Patiala MP Preneet Kaur, Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar and the entire state leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party.
It was being ensured through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the ground level, Mandaviya said.
“The Narendra Modi ji-led government is completely committed to the welfare of every citizen of this country and with this Sankalp Yatra we are ensuring that the benefits of hundreds of public welfare schemes started by Modi ji reach the ground level and people are able to avail their benefits at their doorstep,” he said, addressing a gathering of beneficiaries of various central schemes.
He said, “Everyone can register for various welfare schemes being run by the central government during this ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’. These are not only welfare schemes, these are Modi ji’s guarantees and the PM never fails to fulfill his guarantees.” “This Yatra, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15 from Jharkhand, has emerged as a transformative expedition fostering connections with citizens nationwide and has witnessed participation of over one crore citizens till now,” he said.
Patiala MP Preneet Kaur said the Modi government is running many public welfare schemes providing much needed assistance to the citizens. “One of the schemes is the Ayushman Bharat scheme which has provided major relief to the common people of India as now everyone can afford proper healthcare free of cost.”
Thanking the central government for this Yatra, Kaur said, “I am extremely grateful to the Modi government for ensuring doorstep delivery of welfare schemes to every village, every town through this ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.”
Taking aim at the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, Kaur said, “It’s saddening that the AAP government does not want this programme to succeed and is trying to create blockades in it, which is very wrong because this programme does not care that the beneficiaries belong from which party, the only thing that matters is that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the common man.
“Therefore, I urge Bhagwant Mann that if he really is the Aam Aadmi CM then instead of creating problems in this ‘Viksit Bharat’ programme he should ensure that the people of Punjab have easy access to this public campaign of the central government,” said Kaur. (PTI)
