Over 30,000 aspirants appear in Biology, Mathematics subjects

JAMMU/ SRINAGAR, June 24: Over 30, 000 aspirants appeared in the Biology and Mathematic subjects, on the last day of the prestigious Jammu Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET), conducted by Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), across the State.
“In Jammu Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET), over 13,000 candidates appeared in the Biology and Mathematics combination in the Jammu province, whereas, above 17,000 candidates appeared for the same combination at Kashmir province on the second and concluding day, today”, official sources told Excelsior.
Sources added that 6133 candidates appeared in the Biology combination and 7433 candidates in Mathematics combination in Jammu province, whereas, 9985 candidates appeared in Biology combination and 7136 candidates in Mathematics combination at Kashmir province.
“The aspirants are competing for around 4,000 seats in various Government and private colleges of the State, for various professional courses including MBBS, BDS, BE, Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry, Food Technology, etc.”, sources added.
“Officials of BOPEE and Crime Branch, Government observers, University Prof and Principals from various colleges, monitored the examination”, sources said.
“We have received no complaint from any of the center across the State in the two day long process of Jammu Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) and the same was conducted in a healthy and peaceful atmosphere”, sources added.
