YCET organizes blood donation camp

JAMMU, Dec 11: A blood donation camp was organized here today at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology for Thalassaemia children in collaboration with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society.
Welcoming the donors, Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics, YCET said in order to attain professional and personal success in life, students should fulfil diligently their duty towards the society for uplifting lives of thousands.
Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman JGEI ensured full support which can help save lives of Thalassaemia children. He inspired the students and faculty members to come forward and donate blood.
The camp was conducted under the direct supervision of HoD, Electrical, Loveneesh Talwar and HoDs of other departments.
The donors were encouraged by Sudhir Sethi, president J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society and society members Shammi Kapoor and Rajinder Pathak.
From the Blood Bank side, Dr Neeti and other paramedical staff successfully conducted the camp.
Over 70 students were registered for blood donation and out of these over 60 donated blood.
