2 shops, room gutted in Mendhar

POONCH, Dec 11: A fire broke out in two shops and an adjoining room in a remote village Kandi-Galuta in Mendhar Sub Division of Poonch district in which goods worth lakhs were burnt to ashes last night.
Reports said at around 2 am on Sunday night, a fire broke out in the shops of Karayana and Tire repairs/Auto spare parts. The nearby people noticed the incident and rushed to wards the spot to control the fire but the fire was out of control and everything got burnt. An adjoining room also came under the flames.
Shop owners Mohammad Sadiq and Mohammad Azim, both residents of Kandi Galuta, have appealed to the administration for render them help. They said that the reason of the fire could not be known. They told that both were running the shops by taking loan from the bank and some important documents were also kept in the shops which have also burnt.
After getting information about the incident, the police party reached the spot. They took stock of the incident and registered a case at Police Station, Gursai. The police suspects short circuit the reason behind the incident.
