JAMMU, June 24: Chief General Manager (CGM), State Bank of India (SBI), Chandigarh Circle, NK Chari, said that Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) should work in synergy with its sponsor bank for providing efficient banking services to the customers.
“Ellaquai Dehati Bank should work in tandem with its sponsors for providing hassle free and efficient services to its customers”, Chari said today during his visit to Ellaquai Dehati Bank’s headquarters.
“In order to realize the vision of the Bank, it should devise short term, medium term and long term plans and continuously monitor the achievements and if needed suitably revise these plans to achieve the desired goal”, he said.
Chari added that the Bank should structure its efforts to achieve the target allocated under Financial Inclusion programme and also emphasized the need for improving the CD ratio.
Chari also stressed on the Bank to be KYC/AML compliant so that they do not fall in the hands of vested interests. He said it is his endeavor to see EDB growing and reaching to the higher levels of performance.
AK Razdan, Chairman, Ellaquai Dehati Bank, in his welcome address gave a brief account of the work carried out by the Bank for the economic and social development of the society and highlighted the achievement of the Bank during last two years through a Power Point Presentation.
Ashok Gupta, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, Jammu was also present besides the senior functionaries of the Bank.
