DIG Rizvi to inquire into charges against suspended DySP

JAMMU, Dec 12: Sarah Rizvi, DIG, IR Jammu, has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to inquire into the charges framed against suspended Dy SP Varinder Singh.
The appointment of Sarah Rizvi has been made more than six months since the transfer and posting of then IGP Traffic, J&K, Vikramjit Singh, who was the Inquiry Officer in the case.
According to an order in this regard, issued today, the Inquiry Officer shall complete the inquiry and submit report to the Home Department within a period of 30 days.
Suhaib Ashraf, Chief Prosecuting Officer, PHQ, shall be the Presenting Officer in the case.
Pertinent to mention that an inquiry under Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules, 1956, is being held against suspended Dy SP Varinder Singh.
