JAMMU, Dec 12: All J&K 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a meeting of its core committee members under the presidentship of Amrik Singh and joined by Surjit Singh Secretary of Forum.
The Forum expressed their warm welcome to the landmark judgment pronounced by the Supreme Court of India a five judges constitutional bench. The Forum pointed out that by pronouncement of this historical judgement, a great confusion created by the anti-national people about the accession of J&K with India, is over now.
The Forum also appreciated the dedicated efforts of BJP Govt led by PM Modi that after 75 yrs of independence a chronic disease washed away by Indian Parliament of abrogation of Art 370 and 35A which is now endorsed by Supreme Court and which was deliberately introduced by the then Prime Minister JL Nehru in paving way for Sheikh Abdullah to become the Prime Minister of J&K.
The Forum unanimously reiterated their demands for nomination of 10 seats in J&K Legislative Assembly out of 24 because it was already recommended in the 183 Joint Parliamentary Committee’s report along with Wadhwa Commission. He said population of PoJK DPs has crossed 15 lakhs. Two seats have been given to KPs having less than 2 lakh population.
The Forum further demanded that pending package of Rs 24.50 lakh should also be paid to the DPs of PoJK. The Forum further elaborated that neither our left out property in PoJK whether is moveable or immovable got registered or their claims released.
That demanded a separate recruitment package for PoJK youth be given like other Kashmiri migrants.
The meeting was attended by Kuldeep Singh vice president, Paramjit Singh ex-Corporator, Nasib Singh, Sudesh Sharma, Charanjit Singh, Jagjit Singh, Parshotam Lal Ghansham Sharma, Mela Ram and others.
