More political parties, social organizations welcome SC decision of Article 370, 35 A

JAMMU, Dec 12: More political leaders and social organizations have welcomed the Supreme Court (SC) decision on Article 370 and 35 A.
BJP senior leader and co in charge J&K, Asish Sood in a statement issued here, today said that the historical decision that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had taken in 2019 has now been stamped by the Supreme Court yesterday. This historic move aimed at fostering unity and unleashing development in the region, reflects to a commitment to a stronger and more integrated India, he added.
Neelam Langeh, president BJP SC Morcha and former MLA has also lauded the SC verdict upholding the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A. He called it a historical moment for the people of J&K.
Spokesperson BJP and former Dy Mayor Jammu, Purnima Sharma while welcoming the Supreme Court verdict for upholding the Constitutional validity of 2019 on abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A termed it a historical moment for country in general and J&K in particular.
Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) while welcoming the judgment of the Supreme Court upholding the repealing of Article 370 urged the Government of India to act on the recommendation of the SC Bench to set up an impartial Truth and Reconciliation Commission. India coordinator of GKPD, Kashi Akhoon said December 11, 2023 marks a red letter day for KP community as the process started on August 5 in 2019 was brought to logical conclusion on this day by Supreme Court.
All J&K PoJK Sharnarthis Intellectual Forum in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Amrik Singh and secretary, Surjit Singh also welcomed the SC decision and termed it a landmark verdict given of SC of India. It said with pronouncement of this historical judgment a great confusion created by the anti national people about the accession of J&K with India is now over.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu University unit also celebrated the Supreme Court verdict upholding the abrogation of Article 370 thereby removing the special status granted to J&K. The Apex Court’s decision resonates with the understanding that Article 370 was a temporary provision and decision of Modi Government in 2019 was to facilitate the complete integration of J&K into the Indian Union.
All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) while hailing the judgment of Supreme Court said it has upheld the Constitutional validity of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A by Indian Parliament on August 5, 2019. President AIKS, Dr Ramesh Raina in a statement issued here, today said the abrogation of special status granted to J&K has taken the State’s political class by surprise and had been challenged in SC through myriad petitions calling in question its Constitutional validity. He said the judgment vindicated community’s stand that controversial articles have wronged the more than helping in getting rightful share in State’s resources, political and economic space.
BJP co in charge Kashmir Displaced District, Hira Lal Bhat has also shown his great pleasure over the SC verdict saying the highest Court of country has also stamped the Modi Government’s decision and thereby signaling that J&K is an integral part of India like other states of the country.
President Jammu Heritage Society Bhuvneshwar Gandotra expressed complete satisfaction over the judgment of SC on upholding of Abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A in August 2019. He expressed the hope that all political parties shall now move forward to ensure that peaceful atmosphere of the State is not disturbed.
Dogra Brahmin Pratindhi Sabha while welcoming the decision on Article 370 and 35 A said that everyone should respect the decision. President of Sabha, Ved Parkash while addressing a meeting here, today said it is better not to give political colour to Supreme Court judgment which was in accordance with the wishes of the people of the entire nation.
