JAMMU, Dec 13: Ravnish Gulati, Past Chairman, CII J&K UT Council and the members of CII J&K UT Council met Dr Rashmi Singh, Commissioner of State Taxes Department in presence of Namrita Dogra, Addl Commissioner of State Taxes here today.
During the meeting Gulati raised issues concerning the opening of One Time Window for Sending e-invoices to Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) for generation of Invoice Registration Number (IRN) and on Issues related to mass show cause notices on Goods and Service Tax issued for the Financial Year 2017-18 & 2018-19 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Gulati also expressed his concern regarding the late processing of GST refunds, development of adjournment functionality on the GST portal, expedited disposal of cases at DC appeals level, SRO 63 Claims due to non-functionality of the site and cases of expired e-way bills.
Rashmi Singh assured that all the issues would be considered on a merit basis and added that many issues are on the verge of closure and the department will soon provide relief to industries facing problems in different segments of GST.
Singh also assured that the department looked forward to healthy ties between the business community as they have to play a significant role in the region’s development. She further added that she would pass on necessary instructions so that speedy resolution of grievances of Industrialists and other stakeholders is made.
