JAMMU, Dec 13: To review the progress of development works carried out in the area, Varinder Gupta, SDM Chowki Choura, conducted a meeting here today.
During the meeting, the Block Programme Manager of NRLM, Akhnoor briefed about their various initiatives being undertaken in the Sub Division.
The SDM sought a list of beneficiaries having been covered therein, and directed the Tehsildar Chowki Choura to cross-check the same.
The AEE Flood Control, Akhnoor informed the SDM that the 70% of the Crate Work at Basaawa has been completed, upon which the SDM directed to expedite the work and complete its pending work by the end of December ‘2023.
The Block Development Officer briefed about the various development works being carried out under the CAPEX Budget.
The SDM directed the BDO to ensure that all the development works are completed within the scheduled time and bring into notice if the process of development is hampered by any miscreant.
The AEO Agriculture also highlighted his achievements having been accomplished for welfare of the farmer-community.
However, the SDM directed him to promote the cultivation of new crops, such as Lemon-Grass, turmeric, Ginger, Mushroom cultivation, Beekeeping, and other high-yielding varieties of crops to increase the income of the poor-farmers, ipso facto to prevent the loss being caused by the monkey- menace.
Later, the SDM along with other officials visited to village Bhudhi and inaugurated the common pathway having forcibly been blocked by one family. He also directed Tehsildar to immediately to register an FIR registered against errant fellows.
