JAMMU, Dec 13: Allaying apprehensions of the community Gujar leader and BJP State Executive Member, Arshad Choudhary said that there will be no dilution in the reservation of Scheduled Tribes in J&K.
Addressing a meeting of his community members here, today Choudhary said that some vested interests are spreading canards in this regard to mislead the Gujar community in the UT.
He said the community has full faith and trust in the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah who has assured that there will be no dilution in the reservation of STs in J&K as Modi Government is committed to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
Choudhary said it was for the first time in the history of J&K that Gujars were given political reservation, rights on forest land and due attention was paid for the welfare of Gujars and Bakerwals living in the far flung areas of the UT by providing basic amenities of life to them while the other political parties ignored them for last 70 years and exploited them for vote politics only.
